Allen’s Family Counseling Center is a nonprofit organization committed to providing accessible mental health and substance use treatment to individuals and families across Chicagoland. For many of the people we serve, we are the only affordable option for counseling, recovery programs,court-ordered treatment, youth support, and crisis intervention.

The donations from the Interstellar gala will fund the essential programs that keep our community supported year-round, including:

• $25 Therapy Sessions for low-income or uninsured clients

• Trauma-Informed Care for victims of violence and crisis

• Support for Victims of Human Trafficking & Domestic Violence

• Mental Health Counseling & Crisis Response

• Substance Use Disorder Treatment (SUD)

• Parenting, Anger Management, & Life Skills Courses

• Co-Occurring Disorders Services

• Suicide Prevention initiatives

Many of our patients are facing homelessness, financial hardship, trauma, and complex legal or personal battles. With slow and unpredictable state reimbursements, charitable support is the reason we can continue operating and ensuring that no one is ever turned away for inability to pay.
