SAP Evaluations
A Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) has both the hands-on clinical experience and knowledge required for the diagnosis and treatment of substance abuse-related disorders. In accordance with DOT regulations, our SAP evaluations result in recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing and aftercare so you can return to your work duties as soon as is safely possible. We provide a confidential and caring environment.

DUI Risk Education
“How did this happen to ME?”
There are certain events that just seem like they happen to other people, that would never happen to us. When it comes to those events, there is a certain degree of risk involved, but that risk doesn’t have to be blind. Risk can be quantified and managed, at Allen's Family Counseling Center we will show you how.
From minimal to high-risk DUI classes in the Chicagoland area, there is no better choice than Allen's Family Counseling Center. Whether you fall under minimal risk and require a minimum of 10 hours of DUI risk education, or fall under moderate to high risk with early intervention and substance abuse treatments, we have you covered.
Level I - Minimum Risk (10 hours of Risk Education)
Level II - Moderate Risk (10 hours Risk Education, 12 hours counseling )
Level II - Significant Risk ( 10 hours Risk Education, 20 hours counseling )
Level III - High Risk ( 75 hours counseling )

Regardless of the type of process, you may be in need of – for the court (including out-of-state cases) or Secretary of State license reinstatement – Allen’s Family Counseling Center offers DUI evaluations necessary prior to a DUI offense sentencing. Trusting your DUI drug and alcohol evaluation to us is an absolute must if you’re looking for the proper approach and follow-up DUI classes. The purpose of the DUI evaluation is to determine the extent of the defendant's or petitioner's alcohol and/or drug use and its associated risk to current or future public safety.

After you complete your DUI Evaluation—based on your driving history, drinking patterns, substance use behaviors, and psychological factors—our licensed staff will guide you into the appropriate, state-recommended treatment level. This may include Early Intervention, Moderate Risk, Significant Risk, or High Risk treatment, depending on your assessment results.
If you were court-ordered to obtain an Illinois DUI Evaluation, you have the right to choose where you complete your treatment hours. You may enroll in services at Allen’s Family Counseling Center or select any facility that is state-licensed by the Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (DASA). No matter where you attend treatment, we ensure your evaluation, recommendations, and documentation meet all legal and Secretary of State requirements.
